The big move.

Over the past two or three years I have been operating from a blogger account. It worked well for about 6 months/a year tops. Life happened and blogger’s app wasn’t the best in the world so I gave it up and tried to start a blog on tumblr. That didn’t work out well because at the time you couldn’t work with more than one blog easily. Now that tumblr has made having more than one blog a tad easier,I have decided to move Flags Fashion here and re-name it The Voyage .
This new chapter of blogging will be full of many different things. From crafting to college life to fashion and cooking. It is going to take some time to get up and running. Please bare with me ask I work out some of the kinks.
I hope to post once or twice a week. Here is to a brand new voyage.

The First Real Day of Fall

This past Saturday was the first day it really felt like fall in south Mississippi. We went to a farm. It had a corn maze, hay rides , pony rides, and more. It was a fantastic day!
This is what I wore.

I think you've seen every thing I'm wearing but my top and jacket. The top is from my favorite salvage store, dirt cheap, I picked it up for under 5 dollars
The jacket is from a thrift store, I believe it was under 5 dollars too.

This was a day filled with laughter, I'm so glad I got to spend it with these kids!

Nope.I'm back.

That didn't really work out. Oops! As you can see I never really got the other blog up and running,so I'm back!
Let's see what has happened since we last talked.
Well I have graduated! Hey hey! But it wasn't quite traditional. As you all know I was homeschooled and I was planning on finishing up this past spring/summer. But when my pastor passed away things 'became clear' and just knew another year like the previous one wasn't what I wanted. Life is too short to waste time. So about mid April we had our first meeting with the junior college(Flagsoflife has it all in little pieces). We agreed to try to be done by July. On April 28th I finished my first GED class!

On May 22nd I passed my first two tests! I went on to make some really great friends. I got to meet people from all walks of life, countries, and age. It was wonderful. We went on a two week break after my first test day.In that two weeks I celebrated graduation early with my church, new pastor , and other students that were graduating as well.

We went to NOLA for Timefest as our graduation trip.
I ,of course, went as Melody Pond
And even created a Paradox by meeting my regenerated self
I let my nerd banner fly!
After two weeks of enjoying summer it was back to work! It hadn't  been a full three weeks of class  and I was back for test three. On June 26th I passed test three! Only one more to go. The one I was most unsure about.
It was birthday month! July,we had a little break for the 4th , so the family had a little 4th party with a lot of food. And a cupcake flag made my yours truly.
The next few weeks school was kind of in flux because my teacher had some family problems and couldn't been in class and we had to have a sub. Who knew you could even have a sub in this kind of class? Not I.
Anyway the sub,who in my head I called Oncler - No, really he looked just like him. He was an animal in the subject we were on so it worked out well.
I went on to take and pass my last test on the 17th of July.

Now it was study for the ACT and find a Job time!
But first it was my 19th birthday! And I was sick as a dog.
The week before my birthday I had a babysitting job and one of the kids got a stomach bug.By the time my birthday rolled around it was over. I spent the next few weeks searching for a job, with no luck, and planning my niece's first birthday party all as our kitchen was being remodeled. Let me tell you not having a kitchen is no fun.
Over the next month we cooked on nothing but a grill and microwave. No FUN.
That pretty much brings us up to date.
We finished out kitchen,it is beautiful, the only thing left is to get a new table.
We've had my niece's party and it was a blast.

And I have changed my life plan!
Yeah,I was going to finish my GED, take my ACT a few times and start school in the spring to become a Pre-K teacher. No more.
I'm still taking my ACT but only one time. I'm still starting school in the spring but not to become a Pre-K teacher but to become a Chef. Yep. I'm going to be a Chef ,just call be Chef Wilson.
Really, I've never been a fan of working for people so the plan is to become a Chef ,with a focus on pastry ,get a business degree ,and start my own small business.Only God know.
So, that brings us to right now ,today sitting here blogging when I should be studying for my ACT. Only about ten people know about this plan. As we all know plans change and I'm ready if this does but I must say right now I'm excited!
Life is good, God is good, and I'm happy.
